Sophisticated yet comfortable

I love blazers, my mum started dressing me in one at a young age and since then I have just always loved them. It´s a funny thing seeing how your style changes with time, finding yourself in your clothing style seems to be a little bit troublesome sometimes. What you're wearing is the first impression that someone gets from you, so people find themselves being cautious when they choose what to wear.

I have found my style and I like being comfortable yet sophisticated. It´s important that the clothing that you are wearing is not making you annoyed by limiting your choices, like wearing high heels when you are out shopping or to tight jeans at a party. For me these little things make me not want to wear it at all, and make me dislike what I´m wearing.

You might wonder why I put up these pictures and it was for you to have a sneak peak on what type of style I´m into at the moment. I promise you it keeps changing - sometimes I find myself thinking; ´Ah, that's nice´ then two minutes later I would realize that just months ago I wouldn't even consider looking at that particular item.

So taste, preferences and making your own style is a part of growing up and becoming who you want to be. And expressing that through clothing to show your personality and the way you want people to understand you by just using their eyes.

All of these items are from the shop Forever New, here in Auckland, and it´s become one of my favorite stores down here! How has your style changed over the years, feel free to comment, I would be very interested in reading about it :)

Little things

Today has been an interesting day, where I did a touch up on my nails, did some studying and went to class. Exciting news of the day was: we finally, after 5 days, got our shoe rack! I love it, like absolutely love it. So me and my boyfriend Michael moved into this apartment like 3 weeks ago and yes we are still in the stages of decorating it and getting things that we want for it, while handling work and university! Mildly put, it´s been a busy 4 weeks for us.

It´s a two bedroom apartment and we are getting a new flatmate in a few days, her name is Kate and she seems to be super awesome. We also went to our friends place today, we have a couple that are great friends of ours who we love spending time with. They made an amazing dinner for us and we just ended up talking for hours and we literally just got inside the door.

So now I´m going to make a cup of green tea before I jump into bed and start my morning with a daily dose of university work!

Goodnight everyone, I hope everyone ending their evenings has had a great day and everyone starting their day is going to have a great day.

YOGA

foto © We Heart it

Good evening everyone! I have been doing Yoga for the last couple of days and its been one of the most painful, relaxing and most stressless ways to exercise for me.Yoga is an type of exercising that I find myself enjoying, the focus on your rhythm of breathing and relaxing your mind at the same time makes me forget about stress that sometimes occupies and clouds my mind after work and university. I wanted do share with you guys a few reasons to why I am personally doing Yoga:

Yoga makes you relaxed
You gain better control over your breathing
Yoga makes you feel more energetic
It helps to relieve stress

I do it because it makes me feel energetic and my body feels good after doing it, in a way it makes my whole being feel refreshed and new! Hope you had a nice day/evening and that Yoga is something you might consider trying out.
